Hiking

City of Rocks State Park has a variety of wildlife, plants, and hiking/biking trails. The 3.25 mile Hydra Trail encircles the park and transects pristine grasslands. Hiking/biking through the rocks is also permitted for experienced bikers, also a 1.6 mile trail each direction up Table Mountain. We recently opened a new trail called the Cienega Trail which is a 2 mile loop. As you exit Highway 61, you will see a large parking area to your left. This is the trail head for the Cienega Trail. We have Nature Hikes every month, with the exception of July and August.
