The mission of the Friends of City of Rocks State Park, Inc. is to help City of Rocks State Park face the future challenges of population growth and loss of native species habitat and to protect the area so future generations can enjoy its beauty first hand. Our work includes assisting the full-time and volunteer staff in maintaining the park, helping staff the Visitor Center when needed, keeping the park clean by picking up trash, assisting with interpretive programs, bundling firewood, maintaining the botanical garden, re-ordering of supplies for the Visitor Center, and purchasing small items for the park. We will also be hosting fundraising events at the City of Rocks State Park and in neighboring towns. Our aim is also to get our local businesses and residents involved in helping us preserve and support this natural wonder.
